Last letters of the summer!

Well, technically there's still 18 days till the end of the summer, but I personally consider that summer ends beginning of September since everyone's back home and school is about to start (I go back to uni on the 9th - and I'm not looking forward to that u_u).

So, let's start autumn the best way possible... with letters! :D

First here are the letters I wrote lately...

To Edyta, Poland. I wrote it weeks ago, she's already received it.
To Audrey, Germany (she has already received it too)
To Sille, Estonia
And to Sanna, Finland. These two letters haven't been received yet since I mailed them out yesterday only

On the incoming side, I haven't gotten much, but the three pieces of mail that hit my mailbox were awesome! I have so lovely friends ♥

A package from Andra, full of loveliness she bought for me in Turkey. Thanks again, my dear. I love everything ♥
A great first letter from Nina, Germany
And finally, three envelopes from the same girl, Lavendel in Norway
The purple one contained a (long) letter
The blue one contained cards
Aaand, the bubble one was filled with lavender tea samples! I had never heard about lavender tea, but it smells divine and I'm looking forward to trying it :)

That's all! I hope you're having a wonderful start of autumn, and good luck to all those who're starting again with school/uni/work at the moment :)

As promised: the big incoming update!

Hei hei! Here I come again! :) After showing you all my outgoing mail for the past month, here's my incoming for the same period of time. I haven't count how many letters I got during these 4 weeks I didn't post anything here, but there are quite a few :) Still I'm catching up pretty fast and even though I don't think I'll be all caught up by September when uni starts, at least I won't be three months late on my mail anymore.

Alright, here are the letters:

From my "secret penpal", Edyta in Poland. How happy I was to find out she's been assigned to write me a letter for a random letter swap! I hope she'll like my reply and that we'll become longlasting friends :3

From an "old" friend, Marita in Norway, along with some stunning picture of her last trip to Norwegian mountains

From Ramona in Germany

From Andra in Romania, along with Turkish tea bags that I haven't tried yet because it's too hot for hot tea at the moment

From Lou in the UK

From Shelby in the USA

I also received...

Two books, my first order from The Book Depository. A webstore you should definitely check if you read in English! (or maybe you shouldn't, because your wallet might not like it :P )

Card from my Dutch friend Jenny

And a lovely bookmark from Manon, a friend of mine.
And that's all! Enough things to keep me busy till the end of my summer holidays, right ;)

Love, Tári
PS: What do you think of the new layout of the blog?

My penpals will be happy girls!

Hey there !
It's been a while since I last wrote a blog post! I hope you haven't forgotten me :P Anyway, here I come with a new post full of outgoing mail. I have been in a great writing mood these past weeks, and here's the result :

Letter to Laura, USA

To Tanja, Germany

To Teresa, USA

To Kate, Czech Republic

To Shelby, USA

To Bree, Malaysia

To Nina, Germany

To Destiny, USA
Yes, lots of mail to Germany and the US. I guess these are the countries I have most penpals from actually.
I have recieved quite many pieces of mail lately (and will certainely find some more in my mailbox on Monday when I come back from the week I spent at my mom's), so I'll make an "incoming mail call" in the beginning of next week (on Monday or Tuesday). Stay tuned!

I hope you're all enjoying your summer (as for me I'm starting to get bored... but still I don't want uni to start again too soon :P )

Ready to go!

Hello there!
Yes, as said in the title of this post, I am ready to go! On Tuesday I'm off for a two weeks trip to two interesting French towns: Strasbourg and Paris. I'd have prefered to tell you I was off to Oslo or Helsinki, or even Reykjavík, but well, at least I'm going on holiday somewhere and that's already really exciting! It's been so very long since I last went on a trip somewhere (I mean for more than one day only)

BUT, before leaving you alone for two weeks in a row (will you miss me? I bet you will :P), let me show you my latest mail. I'm showing you two weeks of mail at once, because last week I hadn't gathered enough letters to make a blog post about them.

Ready? Here we go. First with the incoming mail:

From Sille, Estonia
She used this year Europa stamp. I like the theme they chose this year,  don't you too?
I also receieved a book and the woman who sold it to me added a little recipe in the package. How nice from her! Unfortunately since I don't have an oven I won't be able to bake this probably yummy cake :(
From Reetta, Finland
From Sofie, Sweden

And now on to the outgoing mail:

To Marita, Norway
To Andra, Romania
To Anne Mette, Denmark
To Ramona, Germany
And to Jenny, Netherlands!
I'm glad that I have significantly decreased my to-reply pile. It still is big but I have good hopes to be all caught up by August or so. That'd be great! I'll do some more writing this week-end, it'd be great if I could send one more letter before leaving on holiday, because I don't think I can do much writing during these two weeks.

Well, that's all. Have a lovely week-end, and see you in two weeks! :)

Ready for some mail?

Hello there!
I usually make my mail updates here on the blog on Fridays, but I wasn't at home all week long and only came back today, so I didn't check the mailbox before and therefore couldn't show you my incoming mail. Which isn't much, actually: only one letter hit my mailbox this week. Actually, I'm pretty glad about not getting much mail at the moment, because it means my to-reply pile is decreasing! Yay!

So the incoming letter was from Maiju in Finland. Long letter, as usual ;)

On the outgoing side, I did write quite a lot this week. Okay, most of these letters were pretty short, but still! Four letters in only one week, when was it that it last happened?

To Reetta, Finland (she's already received it)
To Louise, UK
To Bruna, Brazil
And last but not least, to Heidi, Finland!

Today I bought myself a bookshelf! Yeah, I eventually have a REAL bookshelf and I can store all my books in the same place instead of having them lying in random piles everywhere in the apartment. And I also realized I still have quite much room left for new books. Good to know for future shopping sprees, hehe :D

I hope you all are enjoying your summer! I must say I enjoy it much more now that the heat wave has ended. I just hope it won't strike again...

And I'm ending this post with a little reminder that you have to follow me with Bloglovin' if you want to continue being updated of my posts here because Google Friend Connect will retire in July, that means very, very soon!

First June letters!

Yeah, I needed to wait till June 19th to eventually receive a letter this month. But it isn't so bad, at least I can decrease my to-reply pile :) I'm in a great writing mood at the moment, as you'll see later in this post when I show you my outgoing mail.

BUT, before, let's start with the two lovely letters I received this week!

From Audrey, Germany
And from Sanna, Finland

I also received a nice postcard from my penpal Laura from the USA

So. As I said, I did write quite a bunch of letters lately. Actually, I'm showing you all the letters I wrote the two past weeks since I didn't do any mail update here last Friday (as you may have noticed ;) )

At first I was tempted to send every letters together when I'm done with repling all my pending mail, just so I could enjoy the lovely feeling of being all caught up (which I haven't felt for... an eternity ^^). But in the end I thought that my adorable penpal have already been waiting for me for months and definitely don't deserve extra waiting weeks, so I ran to the post office as soon as I sealed the envelopes :)

To Sofie, Sweden
To Maiju, Finland
To Olivera, Macedonia
To... someone :D I took part in a random letter exchange and must not reveal the name of my partner before she gets the letter. To be honest I'm not so enthusiastic about the partner I got, but who knows, I might be nicely surprised when (and if) she writes me back! Let's be optimistic ^^
To Sille, Estonia
And eventually, a thank you card to Caddi who sent me air mail stickers two weeks ago.

The weather has been so hot lately (we reached temperatures like +35°C), that I didn't get much work done actually. So now that we eventually have lower temperatures, I have to motivate myself to do some much needed housework. BUT, before leaving you, let me show you the wonderful gift I got from a friend of mine who's been to London:

A book journal! I mean, how awesome is that?!
Alright. Time to go and clean the floor. Have a lovely week-end, dear readers! :)
