Hello! So you want to know more about the author of this blog? That makes me really glad :) So, here we go.
My name is Maude, but I'm also known as Tári which is the name I use for this blog. Tári is just the elvish translation of my name. It's short and catchy, plus I like elves and mythology so that's perfect!
I am a 20-year-old French girl, but honestly I feel ageless. I can be childish and enjoy playing with toys and in playgrounds (only when I'm baby-sitting though, I don't have toys at home and I don't go to playgrounds alone) Yet I also feel older than my real age, most if 20-year-old people I know are so shallow and I don't identify myself to them at all.
I've been loving letters for ~10 years now. I got my very first penpal at school when I was 10 years old. Yet I've been really involved in snail mail since 2011 only, I consider the beginning of my "penpal life" being on September, 10th, 2011, which is the day when I sent my first letter to my first penpal (a Swedish guy who disappeared some months later, however :( ). So I'm quite a "young snail", but who cares? I really love letters and this is for me the best way of communication. I'm not good at emails (always forget to answer them), instant messaging (I'm so damn boring there), or even real life contacts (I'm socially awkward). I now have many letter friends from the whole world and they know me better than any of my "real life people" because it's so easier for me to express myself in letters.
As you can guess I dedicate a lot of my free time to letters - I like to write long letters, and to create a conversation with my pals by asking questions, telling them about my news and commenting theirs, etc. - But I also have other hobbies! I am a major bookworm (love to read Scandinavian crime and thrillers books - but not only!), a language freak (I'm learning Norwegian at the moment), I like to play the piano, take pictures, and drink tea, if that can count as a hobby ;). However I'm a double major student (maths/informatics and sociology, in case you were wondering), so my free time is limited and I can't spend as much time as I'd like for my hobbies.
Okay, I think that's enough of blabbering. You must be already half asleep! :D If you have any questions, feel free! And you can also have a look at the 'where to find me' page to find more about me :)
I'm not looking for new penpals at the moment, however if you really think you're my soulmate, feel free to send me a nice intro!
