Well, I like to read 'boring' books (well, they probably are for most of the girls reading this blog) about geopolitics, for example Stéphane Hessel's "Indignez-vous!" The last book I read was about Egypt and how Egyptians lived under Hosni Mubarak's regime: "Taxi", a book written by Khaled Al-Khamissi.
Thank you!
#11 Congrats on your blog anniversary. I am from the United States and my favorite author is Eve Ensler. My email address is annoyinglangers@hotmail.com.

RépondreSupprimerHello Tarí,
I'm Vanessa from Germany. I recently discovered some new favorite books: The author is Ben Aaronovitch and the first book of the series is called "Rivers of London". It is about a police constable in London who is solving cases that have to do with ghosts and other mystical things. I really got addicted and read all three books in around two weeks.

RépondreSupprimerCongrats! I just realized my blog will be one year old in about a week as well! I'll have to think about doing something special then as well :)
I'm Caddi and from Germany, but I think you already know that. As for a favourite book... hm, that's hard! Currently I love reading the books from George RR Martin, Brent Weeks and Patrick Rothfuss (or lets rather say I loved reading them because there aren't any new ones out right now.) The last book I read though was the one of the 100 year old who climbed out of his window and disappeared and right now I'm reading "El cuaderno de Maya" from Isabel Allende. Very good until now as well!
So... I can't decide on one single book :)
Take care!
Caddi
Alright, I'm # 13 now...

RépondreSupprimerBonjour, Tári!
First of all, congratulations on your weblog! I'm your regular reader, and I hope you won't give up blogging. I just love your posts! My name's Eva. I'm actually from Spain, but I'm currently living in Morocco. I think you know me and my weblog: mailadventures.blogspot.com
I'm a kind of bookworm too, so I have not a favourite author. I can't tell you only one, I mean. As MX-DXer, I like reading "boring" books (not boring for me, of course).
The last book I'm finished is "Going Solo", by Roald Dahl. I only knew this author because of his books for children, which I like ("Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", for instance). But he wrote also some novels for adults. This one is a part of Dahl's autobiography. It speaks about his years in Africa, in the 40s, and then his experience in the Second World War. In Roald Dahl's style, so not boring at all!
And I'm currently reading "Starter for Ten", by David Nicholls. I recommend it, if you feel like laughing for a while. It's about freshman Brian Jackson's adventures and misadventures at University. It's frankly exhilarating.
So I wish you a long blog-life, and I wish me luck in your giveaway!
#15! It's Bree here! Congrats on your 1st Bloganniversary!! Keep on blogging and writing more letters and reading! Yay! My favourite author is Nicholas Sparks, as for my favourite book, it's really hard to choose as I'm a bookworm too! Well, I love Norwegian Woods by Murakami. I'm currently reading my Law textbook! :( Pharmacy has many laws and regulations too!

RépondreSupprimerGreetings from Finland, it's Anni speaking! Congratulations on your anniversary! I only started my blog recently, hopefully it will live to be a year old as well... (:
I enjoy reading as well, you can take a look at my Goodreads profile if you want to: http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/6769278-anni . Maybe you'll get some ideas from there? (: Lately I've enjoyed Wild by Cheryl Strayed, and I really love Life of Pi (Yann Martel). I've been trying to go see the movie adaptation for a while now, maybe next week I'll finally have the time...

My favourite book? Well, since I got to Law school I don't read many things that are not related to Law and I just couldn't chooseone book out of the several I really, really liked. So let me tell you my favourite Romanian book: Maitreyi by Mircea Eliade.
Read it, it's brilliant!

Another hidden reader. For several reasons, typing is not something I enjoy at present -this is why I define myself as "hidden"- but I like reading your posts and would like to wish Happy Blog-anniversary to you, of course!
A book I really like(d) is "The House of Spirits" by Isabel Allende.

I recently tried to tell my Swedish penpal what my favourite book is. Failed miserably. Ended up giving her gazillion authors with gazillion books. :D Oops. :D
So, last book I read it is. Actually the last book I read is a pretty faous one. Everyone was reading it and its quotes were EVERYWHERE. Maybe one of the more famous ones being "You put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don’t give it the power to do its killing." So, who did not guess it already, the book is The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. (Fairly good book. :D)
I can be found under Sille Eero in FB. :)
