Hei, hvordan har du det?

I wasn't expecting to check the mail before July 26th, but on Wednesday I needed to go to Lyon to pick some papers for university, so I stopped at my apartment to check the mail. Mail that was almost 100% Norwegian, that's why the title of this post is in Norwegian (it means "hi, how are you?")

The first letter is from Elisabeth:

Take a closer look at the envelope, it's so lovely, everything on it! The way she "wrote" my address, the air mail sticker, and the stamp. I haven't seen this Norwegian stamp before.

Second is from Lise. She surprised me with a rather long letter plus a booklet about a music festival in Northern Norway and a Northern Norway's travel guide in French. Hope it will be useful to me one day!

And there was also a stationery order which doesn't come from Norway, but from Finland. Not so far ;) Thanks to another blogger (I don't remember who, shout in the comment box if you recognize yourself!), I discovered Postcard Garden, and they have so nice items, plus the shipping is incredibly cheap, so I had to make an order! The only problem is that parts of the website (like description of the items) are in Finnish :/

I'm a little disappointed about the letter pads, they're A6 size, I thought they were A5. That's what happens when you don't understand a word in the description of the items! I'm especially disappointed for the "travel" pad, because the designs are really nice. Anyways, I will use them nevertheless!

An item I'm really satisfied with is the pack of envelopes. They're so cute!

I tried to design my own envelopes but I'm neither creative nor talented T_T I hardly have any ideas or when I have some, then I fail at realizing them so... better to use these decorated envies!

I haven't been very productive lately: I worked full time this week and the only day I was free, I rushed to Lyon because of uni. But next week I'm 100% free so I'll catch up! A big outgoing update will come soon I think.

Rain increases letter productivity

Indeed, when you can't go out, what's better than staying in your warm and cosy house and writing a letter?
It's been raining for 2 days here -and so great to finally see rain after one entire week with temperatures over 30°C! So I just kept on writing, and I was inspired, because it turned out to be long letters :)

The first is 12 pages long and goes to Jenny in the Netherlands (well, I wrote this letter when it was still hot outside, so it's a bit off-topic but I'm showing it here anyways because it's a long letter and it deserved to be pictured :D )

Then 14 pages to Tanja in Germany

And the longest in 20 pages and goes to Ksenia in Ukraine! (The envelope is already stamped because I had already sealed and stamped it when I realized I forgot to take a picture, so I opened it again ;) So typical me ^^

As you can see I tried to decorate the envelopes myself. But well, I'll never be a mail-artist *sigh* I ruined Jenny's envelope when coloring the bubbles, and I was totally lacking inspiration for Ksenia's. There's only Tanja's which I'm quite please with how it turned out. Sounds like I will soon go back to use pre-decorated envelopes...

Stamps

Yesterday I told you I got a new stamps order. So now here comes, as promised, the post about it :)
I started to really get out of stamps (especially of postage complement stamps), so I was very glad the post service delivered this order quite fast.

The 0.10€ stamps, those I was running out of. Not the most fancy, but the most useful for sure!

Take a closer look:

This stamps show 5 famous French sights: from the left to the right: Mafate Circus on Reunion Island, the Eiffel Tower (who didn't recognize it? ^^), the bridge on river Gard, Saint Michel Mount, and the Place Stanislas in Nancy.

And the last ones are on theme "sports". After all, it's Euro 2012 at the moment and soon will start the Olympics Games... ;)

Talking about stamps, I decided to start a stamp collection! But I won't collect the stamps "in real" because it's way too heartbreaking for me to cut the envelopes. So I collect... pictures of stamps! I spent a part of the morning photographing all the stamps on my envies... Now you can look at the result here :)
